Welcome to the MCC

Here you’ll find events, news, and information about the Multicultural Center of Williams College.

Mission Statement – Williams College Multicultural Center

The Center’s mission is pursued through three main channels: inclusive academic excellence and intellectual engagement; social justice learning, advocacy, and activism; and student support and programming. Inclusive academic excellence and intellectual engagement partners the Center with departments and programs on curriculum initiatives related to diversity and inclusion. These holistic processes foster creativity, trust in improvisation, and develop skills that will lead to academic success. Social justice learning, advocacy, and activism involve all aspects of the institution in a process of constant evolution to ensure that the policies in place support individuals from historically underrepresented groups while promoting strong community and global engagement. Student support and programming continue the MCC’s legacy of advising, creating safe spaces for students from historically underrepresented groups and of welcoming all students, staff, and faculty into dialog about the issues of race, class, gender, sexual orientation and ableness.

MCC Site Update

This site is in the process of being redesigned.  We are working with Studio/lab out of Chicago to bring a new look to multicultural and LGBT life at Williams College.  Please look for the launch sometime in Spring 2010.
